Why I Recommend Hot Oil Treatment

Hot oil treatment is the process of applying warm oil on your scalp as well as your hair to revitalize moisture, give shine and promote growth. In summary hot oil treatment is a treatment that is done to ensure the hair and scalp stays healthy.

  1. It gives the hair a bouncy look and feel:
  2. It removes frizz.
  3. It adds shine to the hair thereby eradicating dryness.
  4. It helps in filling the hair out in case of hair-thinning.
  5. It ensure the hair retains moisture hence improving the overall health of the hair.

How often should hot oil treatment be done?

I recommend that it should be done at least twice a month. This will enable that all the goodness infused stays infused. Irregularities and inconsistencies could slow the process and delay expected results.

How to apply hot oil?

  1. Put 10 – 12 table spoon of oil in a bowl, then place in a microwave oven and heat for 25secs.
  2. Divide your hair in 4 sections to ensure it is well applied.
  3. Apply heated oil to hair. Ensure to massage oil properly into hair and scalp.
  4. After applying oil, cover hair with a shower cap, then leave for 30mins – 1hr.
  5. Use a conditioner to wash hair.
  6. Repeat procedure in 2weeks.

N.B After warming the oil test at the back of your hand if the degree of hotness is suitable for your scalp. Be careful so as not to burn yourself.

Normal Behaviors Of Newborn

After giving birth to your new born, there are those moments where you are hysterical because of something your newborn produced from his body that you think he shouldn’t have or something she is doing that you think she shouldn’t be doing. You get hysterical because you think the worst is about to happen or has happened. Yes, there are those moments especially for us first time mothers. Only for your doctor to say to you, madam those are very normal occurrences with your newborn.
Some of these behaviors are;

Green poop: Okay through all those ante natal classes, research and mommy groups nobody mentioned green poop?! Even though I was always on the look out for articles on how to change a diaper or techniques on how to quickly wear him a diaper, since I learnt that baby boys could spray some urine around if you are not fast enough but nowhere did I see ‘watch out his first poop  could be green’.

In time I learnt that green poop is not only associated with the first time poop it can occur at any other time during his growth process.

Crossed eye: This is another normal behavior of newborns that cuts across as abnormal. So be calm if you notice it on your newborn. As they grow older it disappears.

Hiccup: As a first time mom this one threw me off guard like I thought it was big big deal but it isn’t haha! Hiccups starts as early as when they are a day old and occurs round their growth process.

Sneezing: One will wonder does my baby have a cold? Wonder no more mama, baby is fine, this is another normal behavior of our newborns but feels unusual.

In the comment section kindly share your thoughts. Are you conversant with any of these behaviors? How did you behave when you noticed them on your new born?

I will love to read from you.
