Five Quick Steps To Achieve Hair Thickness

If your hair is thick but you did not have to do anything to get your hair where it is, then count yourself among the lucky ones. Some of us have to do the hard work to either make our hair thick or to keep it from thinning out. Having thick hair can be considered as a luxury and a must-have to some while some wonder what they will do with the huge mass of hair. If the former is you then here are 5 ways to grow your hair thick;

Massaging the scalp

Scalp massage stimulates the blood circulation and this in turn channels more nutrients to the hair roots. Blood flow to the hair cells means healthier hair growing out of your scalp. (Check out this article on scalp massage)

When the hair is rich in moisture, it is a good environment for hair growth. Moisture can be infused by deep conditioning treatment, daily refresher ( especially in summer, it’s important to carry one to refresh your hair and scalp) (daily refresher as I call it is a spray bottle with 70%water, 20%leave-in-conditioner and 10%oil, shake the mixture very well and spray on your hair now and then), hot oil treatment and protein treatment. Each treatment depends on what your hair needs at the time. My two favorites are deep conditioning and hot oil treatment and I do them once a week.
Remember: dry hair leads to hair breakage/hair thinning and when this occurs the hair will lack growth.

Castor oil

Castor oil is an age-old remedy use in making the hair thick and it truly works. I add some into my shampoo, conditioner and then my daily refresher. I also have a bottle where I mix castor oil and olive oil and then use for my scalp massage and also apply to the length of my hair every two days.

Avoid products that dry out your hair

Like I said dry hair or scalp is not an enabling environment for hair growth. Some products can dry your hair. So after using a product instead of your hair to be silky and smooth there are a lot of friction causing it to snag and snap and then the amount of hair you lose after washing your hair, nah that’s not good.

    I would have said avoid products that contain sulphate or paraben (they don’t work for me) but some people can beat their chest and say products containing these ingredients work best for them. So instead when you use a product how it makes your hair feel determines if you should be using it again.

    Castor oil is an age-old remedy use in making the hair thick and it truly works. I add some into my shampoo, conditioner and then my daily refresher. I also have a bottle where I mix castor oil and olive oil and then use for my scalp massage and also apply to the length of my hair every two days.

    Use a silk pillowcase/silk scarf

    Silk material are so friendly to the skin and hair and they will keep the moisture in your hair locked in unlike cotton that will seep out the moisture in your hair and cause friction that that leads to breakage and cause split ends.

    Making the hair thick takes effort and consistency. Take pictures to compare results because sometimes our hair is actually growing and retaing the lenght and thichkness but because we have nothing to compare it with we won’t agree.

    5 Reasons You Should Massage Your Scalp

    Ever been to a salon for hair treatment or for a new style or even for a cut and your stylist gives you a good scalp massage? Don’t that make you want to sleep. You feel all your energy seeping away and you feel relaxed.A good scalp massage is so beneficial to our well being as well as to our hair.

    Benefits of massaging your scalp

    1. It Relaxes

    Scalp massage is a good way to ease out tension. When you are stressed or had an hectic day it is an easy way to get your mood back on track. Or even when you have headaches a good scalp massage can make you feel better. A feeling of calmness and relaxation is what I get from a good scalp massage.Also it usually helps when I am finding it hard to phrase topic, you know when you are trying to write something and you are stuck, after a good massage I start to recollect. You can try it too, it helps.

    2. For Hair Growth

    Scalp massage is one of the great ways to help the hair grow as fast as possible. It stimulates hair growth. When you massage your scalp it increases blood circulation and this in turn channels more nutrients to the hair roots.

    3. It Thickens Hair

    Daily scalp massage is one way I have been able to thicken my hair. Massaging dilates the scalp and increase blood flow to the hair follicles. This improves the texture of hair, making it thicker and stronger over time.

    4. Lubricates The Scalp

    A dry scalp can result in itchiness, flakes and hair breakage. These are examples of what we don’t want our hair associated with.The skin produces natural oil know as sebum. Sebum on the scalp is an example of a healthy and well nourished scalp. Massaging the scalp ensures that the scalp is rich with sebum and also that the scalp is not dry because dryness can lead to low levels of sebum which in turn lead to an oily scalp. This is because your scalp will try to overcompensate and produce more oil than you need.You can choose to do your scalp massages with oils, which will of course lubricate the scalp. But even if you choose to just massage your scalp without oils, it will still speed up the production of Sebum.Scalp massage is a great way to regulate the production of sebum and keep the levels on your scalp at a healthy and beneficial level.

    5. Helps In Moisture circulation

    A good scalp massage is a good way to ensure every strand of your hair sucks in moisture. A hair that is rich in moisture will grow healthy, vibrant, bouncy and long. I have also noticed thickness when I massage my wet hair. And when you massage you also reduce product build up if your hair and scalp have any.

    How To Massage Your Scalp

    The best way, I will say is to get the help of someone so you can doze off because that’s what a good scalp massage puts you in the mood for, sleep! However you can also do it yourself, you either do it with your hands or use a scalp massager.

    • While Shampooing: I wash my hair with a sulphate free shampoo. After I put in the shampoo and lather my hair then I massage my scalp for 5minutes before I rinse off the shampoo.
    • While Conditioning: When I did not massage while shampooing I massage when conditioning my hair for 5minutes. I either use my hands or with a scalp massager.
    • With oil: You can use your favorite oil as well to massage your scalp. I love to use olive oil, it’s light and has moisturizing benefits.
    • Without products: Yes you can massage your scalp with just your hands. You don’t need to use a product before you massage. Sitting on the couch watching your favorite tv programme is a good time to start massaging or anytime you desire since the only tool you need are your hands.

    Have you been massaging your scalp? How does it make you feel? If you don’t massage, do you intend to start massaging your scalp?

    How To Keep Your Natural Hair Moisturized In Summer Heat

    When summer heat wave strikes we find that most times our hair is sapped of moisture because the temperature is high and this can make our hair and scalp dry leading to hair breakage and split ends.

    How to lock in moisture into your hair in summer heat

    There are several measures to take to help keep your hair feel alive and bouncy even with the heat intensity, they are;

    1. Deep condition your hair once a week: Deep conditioning is a good way to infuse moisture into your hair. You want to use products that promote moisture and keep dryness away. For example honey is a natural humectant, which means that it can draw moisture to your hair and keep it there. Aloe Vera is another good humectant. Do a blend of Honey, Aloe Vera, Avocado, Apple cider vinegar, and Olive oil. Apply the mix section by section to each strand of your hair. Wear a shower cap and leave for 4hrs. Rinse with a conditioner.
    2. Use a daily spritz. (In a spray bottle, put 70%water, 20%leave-in-conditioner and 10%water, shake the mixture well before spraying): Have it in a carry-on Size so that you can have it handy. During summer with the intensity of the heat you will need a refresher to keep your hair constantly soft and well hydrated.
    3. Ensure all the products you use are water based: Like how water is the cure for dehydration that is the same way it revives a dry hair. Water is the best moisturizer. Look out for product that have water at the top of their list because then you know goal to kick out dryness is achieved. You can also apply water directly to your hair and then seal with an oil.
    4. Refrain from sulfate shampoo: Or if you can help it from shampoo altogether. You can use a conditioner instead. All you have to do is scrub your scalp properly after you apply the conditioner.
    5. Use lighter products: For example You can switch from gels to styling creams, which tend to be a more moisturizing formula for styles. The lighter hair stylers may not give you hold that will last for a week, but their water-based formulas will be more moisturizing.
    6. Heat appliances: Limit the use of all heat appliances or avoid it totally because you don’t want to induce dryness rather you want to infuse moisture. When you do use the hair dryer, make sure you use a warm, not hot, setting.
    7. Use a swimming cap in the pool: This will help keep your hair safe from the chlorinated water.
    8. Use a hat to protect your hair from the sun: This will help secure moisture into your hair and prevent the UV rays from drying your strands.

    How do you protect your hair during summer heat? Are you familiar with any of my methods? Let me know in the comment, i will love to read from you.

    Is Aloe Vera Juice Good For The Hair?

    Aloe Vera for Your Hair: What Are the Benefits?
    Aloe Vera is a plant of the genus Aloe. It is succulent and has thick, fleshy green leaves with a gel-like substance in between its leaves. Aloe Vera has been used for centuries for its healing properties.Asides for the skin, aloe Vera also can be used in restoring damaged hair, strengthening hair shaft, hydrating the scalp, infusing moisture to the hair and encourages growth.The best form of aloe vera to use on your hair is the raw gel of the plant. Review On Some Amazon High Rated Hair Detangling Products

    Detangling the hair with products is the ability to unravel any knot or snag with little or no breakage and without alteration to your curl pattern. Using hair detangling products is to help your hair feel soft and with slip.

    Before i discovered this easy-go- to-method of detangling, i would detangle only on wash days when my hair is saturated with conditioner, that way it is easy to comb through my mass of hair without snap and snag here and there.

    However in between changing hair styles with wash day still far off, and my hair is in a knotty, tangled and unmanageable state, at this point the best bet is a detangling product. Some products with detangling claim will help you experience a smooth detangling process without having to go the whole 10 yards of a wash day routine and give you that lush look and feel you want.

    Some products you can try;

    I went on Amazon to check out products that claims to detangle and i filtered by highest rated.  I picked 6 products from the lots that had 5 stars.

    5 stars means that those who used the product reviewed it as capable to do what it says or do even better than it says. No less.

    Below are the list of products i got;

    1. Not Your Mother Naturals. Tahitian Gardenia Flowers & Mango Butter Curl Defining Detangler.

    2. Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Kids Extra Moisturizing Detangler.

    3. Black Vanilla (Moisture and Shine) 4 in 1 Combing Creme by Carol’s Daughter.

    4. Taliah Waajid. The Great Detangler.

    5. Kinky Curly Knot Today Detangler.

    6. Cantu Coil Calm Detangler.

    Below i will rate the products from  1 through 10, that is to say from Not so good product to great product for my hair.

    Not Your Mother Naturals. Tahitian Gardenia Flowers & Mango Butter Curl Defining Detangler:

    Claim: Detangles, adds shine and hydrate to enhance curls.

    Direction: Spray on to damp hair. Comb through and style as desired.

    Result: I did not like this product while using it and after i used it. I did not like the way the product made my hair feel. If i were to describe the feeling i will say starchy, so overall it is not a good product for my hair. I also did not like the spray bottle, it was hard to manage.

    Rating: 3.5

    Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Kids Extra Moisturizing Detangler:

    I know this product says for kids but if it can untangle a knotty hair of a child why shouldn’t it detangle mine, right?

    Claim: This mild moisture enrich treatment defines, detangles and tames children’s thick wavy hair without greasiness. Restores dry to dull hair.

    Direction: Apply to wet hair.

    Result: I liked the scent. It has this light and refreshing scent that makes you feel good that you are doing your hair, however the lightness didn’t make it look like it was going to work.

    It helped detangle my hair but i had to use a lot  to reach my level of manageability.

    It made my hair look juicy with a little hydration but if you felt my hair it lacks that slippery feel that agrees that my hair is moisturized.

    Rating: 4.5

    Black Vanilla (Moisture and Shine) 4 in 1 Combing Creme by Carol’s Daughter:

    Claim: It is for dry, dull brittle hair. Easily detangles, moisturizes and enhances natural shine and preps hair for manageable styling.

    Direction: Use on wet hair to detangle and add shine.

    Result: While using the product i liked the way it made my hair feel and after using the product i liked the springy and hydrated way my hair felt and looked. The product had more slip.

    Very good packaging that dispense product nicely.

    Moisturized my hair. It gave my hair that luscious look.

    However the product did not penetrate my hair fast.

    Rating: 9.0

    Taliah Waajid. The Great Detangler:

    I was looking forward to trying this product because of the claim, THE GREAT DETANGLER. For such a huge claim you won’t blame me if i wanted my hair to melt like butter from start to finish.

    Claim: It eliminates tangles on contact, softens hair and defines curl pattern. Stops breakage while combing curly, kinky, coily and wavy hair.

    Direction: Use on wet or dry hair and apply liberal amount. Use fingers to work the product through the hair and to loosen tangles. Then use a medium to large tooth comb to detangle.

    Result: The product did detangle my hair pretty well, however it made my hair feel heavy like it had a lot of product in it and yet it didn’t feel like it was moisturized. Overall it didn’t feel nice.

    Rating: 5.0

    Kinky Curly Knot Today Detangler:

    Claim: You can’t get that comb glide through your hair, well knot today. This creamy conditioner is enriched with botanical extracts. It is designed to smooth and to remove knots, snags from thick curly hair.

    Result: The product felt nice and creamy. It gave my hair a lot of slip and moisturized it.

    Rating: 7.5

    Cantu Coil Calm Detangler:

    Claim: It smoothes coils for soft tangle free hair. Adds shine and moisturizes strands. Made with Shea butter.

    Direction: Spray on to damp hair section by section. Comb through and style as usual.

    Result: I like the smell of the product however the spray bottle is hard to manage.

    The product detangled my hair very well but i wish it had a little more slip. Even though it out-rightly detangled my hair i could see that it lacked hydration.

    Rating: 8.5

    I hope this review will be helpful to you when trying to decide on a good detangler to use. However this is a review on how these products made my hair feel you might have a different experience.

    If you have been using detangling products, let me know what you use and how it makes your hair feel? If you are yet to try one, why haven’t tried yet and which one will you like to try out?

    This Natural Remedy Helps With Dandruff

    For some, dandruff is in their hair when their scalp is dry. For others it comes when their hairstyles are tightly done or when their scalp has been over manipulated. Either ways dandruff does not leave a good memory when it appears.

    Two very common disadvantages of having dandruff are;

    1. Itchy Scalp: Whatever the cause of dandruff on your hair be sure that it will keep your scalp itchy and when you itch there is an urge to keep itching and itching. However, no matter how strong the urge is to itch, it is safer not to relent because the more you itch the more the dandruff.
    2. Flaky Scalp: The appearance of flakes usually means dandruff is building up. This flakes are quite obvious and hard to hide. Most times it appears dusty and can be quite embarrassing.

    However, these are some ways you can avoid dandruff are;

    1. Keep your scalp well oiled, this will keep it from being dry because you know dry scalp equals dandruff.
    2. Avoid very tight styles because when the scalp is over labored it brings out dandruff.
    3. Wash your hair at least once a month to keep your scalp clean.
    4. If a product causes your hair to be flakky wash your hair as soon as you notice to avoid build up.

    Natural remedy of removing dandruff;

    3. Apply the blended paste unto the scalp of your hair. Be sure to reach every nook and cranny.
    4. Wear a shower cap, so that the mixture can be well infused into your scalp.
    5. Wash with a shampoo and conditioner after 1-2hours.
    6. Do this again after 2 weeks.

    What happens when you mix oil and something powdery together? …. Exactly!So the key to fight dandruff is to regularly keep you scalp clean and well oiled.
    Let me know in the comment section; have you struggled with dandruff before? How were you able to rid yourself of it? Looking forward to reading from you.

    Key Practices In Making Your Hair Healthy And Full

    The way my hair tangles. The way it is a disaster to put a comb in it. Those headaches. When it is dried, how it looks and feels, very indescribable. How many times have I said I’m tired of this hair. How many times have I said why haven’t I used a relaxer yet?!
    Urgg the horror! Yet our hair is a blessing!
    You see God is perfect and everything he does is perfect. He gave us our hair, so it means our hair should be one of the definition of our beauty, so it is perfect.
    It is said that God will never give you more than you can handle. So if your hair is work then you are equivalent to the task.

    How can you handle your hair like a piece of cake?

    Learn about your hair; Knowing your hair will help you conquer the horror you feel towards it. Knowing your hair will show you it’s best sides. Knowing your hair will help you wear your crown in all her glory without you feeling embarrassed.
    How do I know my Hair?
    Start a regimen: you may say what does it even mean to start a regimen?! Now this is what it means; there are various types of treatment for our hair

    1. Deep conditioning treatment: This is when you apply one or more conditioners to your hair and leave it on your hair for a period of time.
    2. The protein treatment: This is when you apply protein rich products on your hair to build the strength of the hair shaft and also to avoid hair thinning.
    3. The hot oil treatment: This is a long term viability to infuse moisture into the hair. It also helps in strengthening the hair shaft.
    4. Apple cider vinegar treatment: When you have product build up and you are not in the mood for a shampoo, then hello apple cider vinegar (ACV). An ACV treatment reduces itching of the scalp and removes flakiness.
    5. Shampooing: This is the washing of the hair with shampoo.

    These are my preferences.

    Now this is how a regimen will look like;

    Deep Conditioning

    You might want to stick to one conditioner for a period of 6months. That is you will do this treatment once every week. You will definitely start to notice the advantages and disadvantages of that condition and how it benefits your hair or don’t.

    The protein treatment

    This can be done once every month or in two months, it will depend on the state of your hair. You can use mayonnaise, egg, avocado e.t.c to achieve this.

    The hot oil treatment

    This can be done once in two weeks or in a month. It also depends on the state of your hair.

    Apple cider vinegar

    ACV doesnt have to be done within a particular timeline. Whenever you feel the need to do an ACV rinse, go for it.

    You can shampoo once in a month or in 6weeks. In the interim you can wash with conditioners.

    Once you’ve started a regimen STICK TO IT you will start to know what process works for you and then what doesn’t. When to do a process and when not to do it. What products works for you and what doesn’t. What ingredients in a product works for you and which won’t suit you.

    How do i know if a product works for me?

    Look closely at how your hair feels after each activity. How does it feel when you comb through with your fingers or with a comb. Is it soft and easily managed or does it snag and snap?

    How do you take care of your hair?Apart from infusing moisture to your hair to improve its state there are other little things you should be doing that helps it. Like they say little drops of water makes a mighty ocean;

    1. Wear a satin cap before sleeping; yes girl, you don’t want all those juiciness enriched in your hair being snatched by your pillow. Except you are using a satin pillow case.
    2. Use a wide tooth comb or a teaser brush; it will ensure less breakage. Always start combing your hair from the tips of your hair, then work your way carefully to the roots.
    3. Don’t forget to massage your scalp even when you have a protective style on. The scalp is where the hair grows from you want to be sure it gets the necessary tender loving care.
    4. If you notice split ends at the tips of your hair then you will need to get a trim. Split ends snags the rest of the hair and causes it to break. You can either trim it yourself or go to a hair stylist.
    5. The best form of moisture is water. Just like the plants our hair needs water to grow. Spray it with little drops of water every day and it will keep flourishing.

    I hope you can relate to this article and find it interesting. Write your thoughts below I will love to read from you. Thank you.

    Five Tips And Tricks To Washing The Natural Hair

    I remember when I started my natural hair journey I hated wash day. It was a real struggle to wash that thick mass (if you know what I mean). My hair will be so dry my fingers would hurt while navigating through it, there will be a lot of hair snapping here and there and the breakage uggh..I would cringe when I know wash day was coming.
    I knew by all cause that I have to make wash day work.
    Here are a few things that helped me make wash day feel like heaven:

    1. Know how well or not a product works for you: I was one of those people who use to think that pricey equals good for me, or good advert on tv equals good for me or even because the bottle is colourful and very attractive the product should be good for me. You will never catch me in a store reading the ingredients on the bottle or acknowledging the consistency of the product. When I started knowing my shampoos and conditioners my wash day became jolly.
    2. Know my hair: This may sound too cliche but it’s true. For example coconut oil is a product advertised by many to be the go to product. Don’t get me wrong I love me some coconut oil but my hair does not receive it well as an all the time product. For my hair to love it I have to limit usage to once in 2months.
    3. Everyday should not be washday: I remember those days when I was figuring my way through this natural hair journey. I will use shampoo a lot, a whole lot. Geez! I thought I was doing the right thing but I was wrong. I eventually started to realize that and limited usage to once in 6-8weeks. In between I would stick to only a conditioner (co-wash).
    4. Split ends: wowzer! Who would have thought that something as minor as that could result to a hectic wash day. Glorious was the day when I started letting those split ends go. I trim my ends hair once every 6months. Split ends causes hair to tangle and will eventually lead to breakage.
    5. Washing in sections: This will help reduce the work. When you wash your hair in sections you will be surprised at how easily your hair will be managed. It will also help reduce tangles or knots and make you accumulate less time in washing your hair.

    The key to a jolly wash day is consistency in moisturizing your hair because if your hair is moisturized it has qualities like luscious, healthy and soft. There are so many ways to input moisture one of which is hot oil treatment. I will do another post on other ways moisture can be incorporated into the hair.
    How do you find wash day? Do you enjoy it or do you cringe when you know wash day is coming?Comment below, looking forward to read from you.

    Five Ways To Grow Your Hair Effectively

    Raise your hand, If you are like me that wants your hair to grow and also retain that growth. I know a lot of us do!
    However the notion of having a long hair, has held our minds prisoner. Due to this we do the reverse – we discourage hair growth. You may be wondering how?
    To show signs of hair growth the ‘yes’ box must be ticked to these questions –
    Is my hair full of moisture? and
    I’m i consistently trying to keep my hair healthy?
    Now some people equate long hair to mean healthy hair and that is the beginning of a doomsday scenario. Don’t get me wrong I know there people who are blessed with long hair genes. However luscious, glowing and general healthy hair takes work. Long hair is good but the ultimate goal is healthy hair and they in no way mean the same thing.
    Here is a full retrospect of how I was held prisoner by the thought I want a long hair; 4 years ago I cut my hair because I wanted to start a new hair journey without including relaxer in it. You see I had a FULL, LONG relaxed hair and i needed my hair to have those qualities again sharp sharp! So I was doing the very thing that was slowing my pace in achieving a long hair but of course I had no idea;
    • I will hang on to split ends because the thought of cutting my hair for any reason was unacceptable. Your girl wants long hair! What I did not know was that with split ends I could never achieve long hair. Split ends can occur in any part of the hair but because the ends of the hair are the oldest part of it they are majorly prone to that area. Split ends are the fraying of the hair due to dryness and they lead to hair breakage. So you see why I needed to trim those ends.
    • I will buy products based on the fact that it claims “helps to achieve long hair”. I will not check if it has ingredients that will dry my hair thereby exposing my hair to breakage. No, your girl is mesmerized by the thought of long hair she is not looking past it.
    • I will do every YouTube tutorial that says “do this and you will have a long hair”. Even if I just did one yesterday I will do another one today. I did not know that over manipulation was hindering growth and when growth is hindered long hair is far-fetched.
    The five ways to achieve effective growth are;
    1. Moisturize hair: when moisture is infused adequately and consistently to the hair it responds by growing robust and adding more length.
    2. Trim split ends: This is because split ends tangle up with the rest of the hair and cause it to break.
    3. Avoid over manipulation of the hair: This will help you keep new growth.
    4. Know your oils: When you study your hair you will know when to use which oil and when, for example adding castor oil to your hair regimen will help strengthen your hair shaft thereby making it retain growth and thickness.
    5. Massage your scalp: This will keep the blood cells in the region active and make the hair shaft prone for new and steady growth.
    As soon as I started realizing to set my priorities right, things started falling in place. I started to understand that caring for my hair in the right way will give me a healthy hair and if I have that, I am definitely on my way to a long hair!
    Do you have a long hair? Did you incorporate a healthy habit to achieve your long hair?
    Share your thoughts down below, as always i will love to read from you. Thank you.

    Hair Style Inspiration For Natural Hair

    Raise your hand if your hair is natural and you have never done the two strands twist before? I’m sure nobody’s hand(s) is up because at some point or all the time the two strand twist comes to play.

    1. RESEMBLANCE TO LOCS: One reason that makes me do it almost all the time is it’s resemblance to locs. I love locs but I’m not ready to commit to locking my hair, I still like the idea of breezing my fingers through my mane. So two strands twisty locs to the rescue.
    2. ITS VERSATILITY: Twists are known to be versatile, you can wear them as twist or you can twist them out. In either phase there are multiple styles that can be generated.
    3. IT NEVER FADES AWAY: Another good thing about the two strand twist is that it is not restrictive of age. When twist are done on little girls it is usually decorated with beads to beautify her hair. Boys wear their without the beads, and yes twists are not gender restrictive.
    4. THE OLDER THE BETTER: Two strands twist are like fine wine, the older it gets the better it looks. So it’s a style you can wear if you want to look good but are not ready to keep changing hairstyles. Like the case of after birth, I made the twist and carried it for 6 weeks because in between diaper changing, bottle feeding and sleep hunting who had time for salon visits, obviously not me. However the older it got the better looking it got.
    5. TO STRETCH YOUR HAIR: Natural hair and shrinkage are two best friends. As they say shrinkage is a sign of healthy hair. Making two strand twist is a good natural way to stretch your hair. When looking to run away from heat the race is towards two strands twist to get the actual length of your hair.

    I created this chic style that involves two dutch weaves in the front half of my hair. The first dutch weave was created to form an L-shaped pattern and the second dutch weave the same but with a smaller L-shaped pattern.

    The other half of my hair which is the back side, has mini sized bantu knots. As you will learn in the video below bantu knots is simply turning your plaited hair-strand(s) into knots.

    The combination of the two patterns resulted to this very chic style.

    Warrior braid is one of the oldest hairstyle that has stood the test of time. One thing for sure that keeps it going strong is its simplicity yet it carries this embodiment of beauty.

    This hairstyle has proven to be great for any condition or situation. As a hunter, if you going to hunt and you throw in a warrior braid you don’t look out of place Or as a cook or a horse rider or a ballerina or ever a musician. All these professions are different and of different categories yet this hairstyle stays constant.

    Two strand twist is that kind of hairstyle you can refer to as all-in-one. When you dress up to go to work, it’s a hairstyle that will make you look cooperate, yet after work when you go to have a drink or two with the girls, your hair still comes rocking and guess what, you still don’t look out of place.

    Have you done two strands twist before? What do you think of it? Is it something you still wear? What makes you wear the two strands twist?
